I just Completed a fantastic hike with my 13 year old grandson Alex. He has been camping several time before, but never backpacking.
We began our trip at Lake Delancy Campground, Ocala National Forest.
We got up the next morning an began our hike. Not knowing how it would go we just took it easy. So I thought, So Alex tuned out to be a younger version of me, Motor-Legs.
After about 3 miles.
ALEX: how far to the lake at Rodman?
ME: 4.5 Miles.
ALEX: Lets Go!
Me: Ok so we went!
We hiked the 7.5 Miles in just under 4 hours, with lunch break,
and many stops to observe the wild forest and play our Flutes
Collecting drift wood, and Stumps to decorate the yard!
Alex and Camped out again in the tent, and enjoyed the camp fire and Flute playing!
Great experience bonding looks like it was fun
