Begin my day with a little shopping then I hopped on the bike rode over to Hastings and back about 25 miles such a beautiful day.
I decided to go ahead and go with my original plan which, was to load the bike and ride out in the woods and go camping so, that's what I did. I ate lunch when I got back home, loaded my gear took me about an hour and give me an hour break nice little break then I got back on the bike and I rode out into the Ocala National Forest to go camping.
I crossed the lock at about 2:15 which was right on time for what I had planned pryor, my plan was to ride through the Caravelle Ranch and camp at that campground but it was closed.
So I had to ride down SR-19 a short distance and then Rodman road to the west side of the reservoir along the
Florida trail to a beautiful little spot in the woods.
Enjoying the little campfire sitting around smoking a toke, at 72 years old I was a little tired probably pretty physically exhausted when I got here after 42.5 miles of bike riding. But now it's 7:30 I've had dinner couple snacks some almond milk, V8 juice and had a pretty good dinner, and I've been resting and I feel good now I wouldn't want to ride another 42 miles right at the moment but I'm going to looking forward to sleeping well tonight.
Not quite a full moon but it's still pretty darn bright sitting here around the campfire under the big live oak trees and the light shining down it's beautiful the weather is about 55°, 54 I think the last time I looked it was 55 not supposed to get much colder than that tonight but I'm good down to about 30 don't want it to get that cold but if it does I'll be all right not supposed to though.
Oh waking up Christmas Eve 2023 early in the morning about 6:30 camped out by the lake. Coffee on the stove with Mountain House breakfast skillet taking care of business looks like it's going to be another beautiful day, not quite as beautiful as yesterday we do have some clouds in the sky.
I slept really great last night about 7 and 1/2 hours very relaxing this is a way to spend Christmas at age 72 right out in the woods on your bicycle,camp,sleeping on the ground nice campfire. Morning temp 48 not bad.
