Seemed like nice day for ride in the Ocala National Forest, wanted to check on some of our favorite camp spot's. We have been having lots of rain everyday. Most of the local lakes that have been dry for many years now are full pool. Rivers and streams bank full!

While on one of the Forest Roads we came upon Immature Red Shoulder Hawk. It was just sitting in the road, so I stopped and it just sat there.

Got out or the Tracker and approached it appeared to have injured leg. It never was aggressive, very strange did it sense I was there to help?

Covered with shirt and still very calm. Curious so we took it home secured carrier and transferred it to the carrier. Wearing gloves just in case I picked it up still not being aggressive. Placed the hawk in the carrier.

Contacted Florida Wildlife Care and took it to there facility for complete check up.. www.Floridawildlifecare.org
