At Camp

Set camp taking our time enjoying the beauty of the paraire.

Paraire Sunset

Great campfire cold beer some good music played some flute, little damp for the hand drum. Listened to Pandora offline mode beautiful.

Hopkins full moon was awesome, weather could not have been any nicer temps low 60's skies mostly clear wiht few passing high clouds.
Made for Spookie Moon!

Saturday 1/10/20
Sunrise over the paraire.

Made usual campfire coffee the cooked awesome breakfast potatos, onions, ham and eggs organic of coarse with toasted English muffin.

Ranger stopped by we chatted for while on up coming changes, the will by finish the Bear Box install after 1 1/2 years should be completed by February sounds great Hopkins has very large bear population. Campground will be transition to consession operated with 2 full-time hosts. Not sure if it would transition to reservations system that woulc be horrible. Reservations have destroyed the camping system. Camping is first come first served, If you wa t to reserve site stay at commercial site!

Was unsure of any increase in cost curently $10.00 and $5.00 senior's and pass holders. I can't how a price increase would be avoided with 2 paid hosts. Current volunteers hosts get free site. Not planing on changing pit toilet or non-potablle water. So maybe only small increase just pray it dosen't destroy great place.

Saturday 1/11/20 8:11 AM

Coffee ready setting by the fire hard to believe it January
but it's Florida temp in low 70's no shirt and warm 8:15 AM. Sun is out skys clear beautiful view of paraire only hope it's like this in 2 weeks for the new moon would be great sky viewing.

Campground has filled some Friday evening lots of young camper's. Seem very well behaved and respectful. Look to be fairly new at camping on there own parents must have tought them well.

Many birds on the open paraire but no deer or bear. Squirl and wood peckers in the oaks. Appears to be many Swifts in bug catching mode as the do so well. Very piecefull quiet no traffic noise. Only poping of campfires russeling of breakfast pots & pans. Sound from young adults enjoing nature.

Going to be wounderful day in the woods and paraire!
