Thinking about cooler weather!

It's just plain miserable outside,


I can hardly wait until fall, above picture cooking breakfast with gluten free campfire biscuit's ye ha!

I would love to get some dirt time!

But with the heat index at 100+ during the day just doesn't seem possible.

Options are;
1) leave late in the day after it's rain cooled but just received 3.75 inches and still raining likely for next couple hours, come back early next AM. Soaked

2) run the generator and ac

Went camping with granddaughter, we received 3.57 inch rain in 2 hours. Which put our fire ring under water! However after the rain got the 🔥 roaring again.

Something I have wanted to do for quite a while, cut down tree, and carve a shave horse. So my daughter had dead tree that needed to be removed. Down it came and bench was on its way all with hand tools hand saw and ax.


Now I need to carve some flutes!

Quite a work out but was great fun!

I just Completed a fantastic hike with my 13 year old grandson Alex. He has been camping several time before, but never backpacking.
